The Wereldmuseum has a rich historical collection with art from Asia and Oceania. For schoolchildren, a visit to the museum is a unique experience. Not only do they see ethnographic artworks and, through the artifacts, learn about cultures, religions and art. They are also in a museum and walking through a building with a royal history.
The permanent exhibition 'The Collection' is ideally suited to introducing schoolchildren to art and to different religions and regions of the world. A visit to the Wereldmuseum can be an interesting element of a project week on such subjects as respect, world, faith, happiness, and Asia.
Besides the permanent collection, the Wereldmuseum each year presents two much talked-about thematic exhibitions in which remarkable ethnographic art objects are displayed from around the world.
For each special exhibition the Wereldmuseum offers educational custom-made guided tours.
